This is a speech I presented to my classmates at Vermont College of Fine Arts after completing my second semester in the MFA in Graphic Design program. It demonstrates my belief that concepts like cadence, time, systems, and design are all ways to measure and consider and marvel at the human experience.
This was a large display I created for the beginning of my third semester at VCFA. My goal was to create a map of what happens in my brain when I embark on a creative project. It's a map of something intangible, so there's no empirical way to test it's accuracy. As with many visual communications challenges, this was an experiment. The final piece was printed on presentation bond and was 8x8 feet in size.
